Can I change my meal plan at any time?Any changes to meal plans must be made within the first 2 weeks of the semester. Meals, meal exchanges and guest passes do not carry over each semester.
What do I do if I lose my student ID card? The student ID card provides each student access to meal plans as well as McDaniel Bucks. Lost or stolen cards can be replaced for a $35 replacement fee at the ID Office located in the Hoover Library.
What are McDaniel Bucks?McDaniel Bucks are a safe and easy way to buy books, supplies, food on campus and at many off-campus locations. Go to www.mcdaniel1card.com for more information.
Are guest meal passes in addition to the meal plan?Guest meal passes allow students to bring a guest to the Englar Dining Hall. They are included in the meal plan number (not in addition to the meal plan).
What are meal exchanges?Students have the option to eat in the Pub instead of Englar Dining Hall. Meal exchanges are assigned per plan. Unused meal exchanges do not roll over into the next semester.
How can I use meal exchanges for catering?Meals from meal plan (not meal exchanges) can be donated to pay for catering events, picnics and bagged lunches (for those days you don’t have time to sit down and eat ). Meal exchange forms are available in the Dining Hall and on this website.
Who do I talk to if I have special dietary needs? If you have any particular dietary needs please let us know. We can accommodate any special dietary requirements. What does the Englar Dining Hall have to offer? To see what’s on the menu check out BITE by Sodexo…a new app that tells you what is on the menu, calories and nutritional info. Available as a free download on the APP Store & Google Plate - Search “Bite by Sodexo” The code for McDaniel College is P8HV2.
How do we give feedback on dining services?Dining services offers a gourmet served dinner each month during the semester for the first 50 students to sign up for the cost of one meal swipe. This is an opportunity for students to actively get involved in the dining experience on campus and to make requests for services they would like to see in the future. You can leave feedback on Facebook, twitter and on our website.
